The business was started in 1980 as a sole proprietorship by Massimo Liti, still its majority partner.
From the very beginning it made belts for Italian and international brands, while also creating its own line with brass buckles hand-cast in sand under the C.O.P.E.&CO. brand.
In 1986 it became a limited partnership, and still operates today as Liti Master s.a.s.
Over the years the company has specialised in brass work and, with the help of Florentine engravers, has long been personalising buckles with initials or full names. All belts and all engravings are made in-house.
